The Invisible Woman by Slavenka Drakulić is a series of fragile and painful intimate stories, confessions, and insights that question why age and ageing are topics that are almost forbidden to talk about in today’s society. Are we becoming invisible as we age? What is happening to our bodies, to our relationship to others and – more importantly – to the relationships of others to us? Why do the webs we weave throughout our lives suddenly become thin and fragile?
