Berlin is about clarity, symmetry and growth. Musician and composer Fiona Brice started thinking about spirograph imagery, and this led her to research drawing machines. She found a drawing machine designed by Alfred Hoehn online (a swiss academic and artist) and with his kind permission, I flew to Basel and filmed the machine in action. The result is a beautifully choreographed film, with no need for digital effects.
