At the workshop, we will assemble an electronic version of a zoetrope, which allows you to play your own moving images and have fun with them. We will create the device from a discarded mechanism of a computer CD or DVD player, an Arduino microcontroller, high-intensity white LEDs. Among other things, we will learn about brushless motors and write a program that precisely synchronizes the flashing of LEDs and the rotation of the motor. But the most fun, of course, will be drawing frames of the animation in a loop.”
